I am raising three geese this year. I am hoping they will be big enough to help discourage the raccoons and foxes from killing the chickens. In the meantime, they are growing fast. Tagg tolerates them. Harvey loves them. And Katie is scared to death of them. We are not sure why, because they don't do anything aggressive.

I've heard mules and donkeys are good "watchdogs" against coyotes. I've got a couple of friends who keep one just for that purpose. I don't know that they'd discourage raccoons, though!
Please don't encourage Flint into getting any additional animals OR methods of getting rid of racoons, or any other pest-y rodents. :)
