Viva Las Vegas

We just got back from spending the weekend with Brandon and Jenine at their new house in Las Vegas. Monday will mark the second week since they moved in. Given their short time there, they had things pretty well sorted out.

We were glad that Laila still remembered Grandpa and Grandma when we got there. She was still cute, too. We spent time playing with her and just being entertained by her sweetness.

We spent most of Saturday digging sprinkler trenches. Las Vegas dirt is much like concrete, in case anyone was wondering. A lot of work with a pick is necessary before one can shovel any dirt. We got most of the lines dug for the back yard. Thankfully yards there tend to be small. It was still plenty of work.

This week we head the other direction to visit Jake, Linday, Katelynn and Tagg in Wyoming. We are looking forward to seeing how much those two children have grown.

Hope you are all having as great a time as we are.

They are trying a real lawn? Last time I was there, it seemed like everyone just had cactuses in their yards.
Do they like Vegas?

They are doing a lawn in the back. Jenine wanted an area where Laila and the dog could play on the ground. It is buffalo grass so it doesn't need much water. The front yard doesn't have grass. There is a park close to their house and lots of church members nearby. I think they are just glad to be moving on to the next stage in their lives.
