Home but still having fun

Creed and I made it safely back from our Alaskan adventure. The fishing was pretty slow, but we managed to catch our legal limits for salmon and rockfish. Creed caught a 25-pound king salmon. Mostly we had a great time spending four days on the water and seeing a new part of the world. It was cool and rainy most of the time. We stayed at a Forest Service campground that was very nice, but still wet.

We left on the 13th and got home on the 18th. We went with a neighbor and two of Creed's friends. We were in Ketchikan. We saw dolphins, whales (blowing in the distance), seals, bears, deer, and eagles. The eagles were like magpies.

Sunday we celebrated Harvey's first birthday at our house. You can see pictures on Cally and Jed's blog. We roasted hot dogs, played with the dogs and chickens, and rode horses.

Now we have to try and catch up on all our work. I've got a lot of broken sprinklers that will have to be fixed now that the weather has gotten hot. I hope I can get it done quickly so we can do some fishing around here.
