We've had a really nice Christmas Break. Craig's parents got here a few days before Christmas, and our staying until Monday. That way they got to be here for Christmas and to see Elaine's ballet performance.
Mostly we have just stayed home and enjoyed one another's company. We did take one short, cold trip up to VanAlstyne to find some family gravestones. And we went out to eat a couple of times. We had Denisa's family and friends over for Christmas dinner, so our Christmas day was loud and happy all around. By New Year's Eve, Rachel had started with a cold that quickly took hold with a couple of us (Lynette's got it now), but it hasn't been too bad all in all.
Mostly we are trying to endure the cold weather! Okay, I know all you Northerners are laughing, but it's no laughing matter to us warm-weather people! Today the wind chill is below zero! That's cold! And it's not supposed to warm up above freezing for several days (which is unusual here). We've had our wood-burning stove going full blast everyday.
Tonight starts Elaine's ballet production. She has one show tonight, two tomorrow, two the following Saturday, and one the following Friday night. It is a busy time for her, but she lives all year for this! Being on the Board of Directors has made it busy for me also, starting with getting a poster made, and this week with getting programs ready to print.
We wish you could be here to see it! I will for sure be posting some photos soon.

I love the snowman. Jed built Anette and I a swingset for Christmas. Dad, Jed and I used my truck to move it into the back yard. It's 19 days since then and the tracks where we drove through the snow are still clearly visible. I am not feeling your pain when it comes to the cold.
