Update on Jed, Cally & Harvey

Hi Everyone,

Denisa called me to ask about a family fast for Harvey.

Here is the current situation to the best of my understanding. I'll post this on the family blog as well. Friday two motions were filed. One was for a mistrial of the hearing that allowed the birth father to maintain his parental rights. The second motion was also related to that hearing and basically asks for a review of the judge's decision. Three different attorneys have told us that the judge made several significant errors, so the chance for a mistrial is good.

On October 29 and 30 there will be a custody hearing and Jed and Cally will be there with their attorney. I think this is for temporary custody and no one anticipates that Jed and Cally would lose custody at that time, but one never knows.

So I think Oct. 27-28 would be an appropriate time for a fast.

So far all of this is just related to whether or not the father can retain his parental rights, so the legal battles can continue when it comes to the actual adoption and permanent custody. Unfortunately this could drag on for many more months.

In the meantime Harvey is growing fast and is as cute as can be. He has those big toothless smiles and makes cute baby cooing sounds now. He is a very good baby and almost never cries, unless you try to hold him like a baby. He likes to be held standing up or at least sitting up so he can see what is going on.

We'll let everyone know more as we find out anything.

Flint
