Everyone:
Well, this transfer ends on Wednesday, so we'll have to see if I'm still here next Monday. This does mean it's possible I won't be writing until Wednesday of next week.
As for this week, on Tuesday we tracted a good deal, and didn't really do anything else. We did have that earthquake in the morning, but, while we did notice that things were shaking a bit, it didn't really damage anything as far as we've seen. On Wednesday we tracted, we had our normal service project at the care home, and we visited the Villanueva family. It seems like they've gone less-active because Sister Villanueva, for whatever reason, has decided she doesn't believe in the Book of Mormon any more. So, we'll keep working and see if we can figure out what's really going on with her.
On Thursday, we planned, we tracted, and we visited the Stewards. They still haven't come to church yet, so we'll have to see what's going on with them. On Friday, we had our zone meeting, we tracted, and we worked on contacting some former investigators (but we didn't have any luck.) On Saturday, we tracted for a while and finished going through our former investigator list.
On Sunday we had our normal church meetings, and then in the afternoon we tracted, we taught Rosie (she's almost done with the recent convert lessons), we had a meeting with the Santa Fe Springs Branch President and mission leader (we've been talking about how we need to keep better contact with our Spanish units), and we taught Darwin, who is a referral we just got. He's a Spanish speaker, his girlfriend goes to the South Gate ward, and he seems to be a pretty good investigator. So we have an investigator!
Today, we were in charge of our zone activity. For this transfer we've been memorizing scriptures, so we made this challenge from the scriptures we were supposed to be memorizing. We had it in an "Ancient Nephite Temple" (the stake center), and the different districts had to follow these clues to complete these challenges based on the different scriptures. We had a lot of fun setting it up, and it was fun activity for the zone.
Think that's it for now.
